Namewee Pleads Not Guilty To Possessing Erectile Dysfunction Drugs And Meth

The rapper said he was confused by the charges.

Malaysian singer-songwriter Namewee, real name Wee Meng Chee, has pleaded not guilty to two charges of possessing of controlled substances

According to the New Straits Times, Wee was charged under Section 9(1) of the Poisons Act for possessing 0.78g of Sildenafil, a medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction.

He is accused of possessing the drug at a hotel near Jalan Conlay at 4.30pm on 22 October 2025.

If convicted, he could face a jail term of up to five years, a fine of up to RM50,000, or both.

Separately, Wee also pleaded not guilty to a charge under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for possessing 1.57g of methamphetamine

If convicted, he could be jailed for up to five years, fined up to RM100,000, or both.

The court fixed March 5 for mention.

Responding to the proceedings today, 19 January, Wee said he was confused by the charges but stressed that the key important point was that his urine test had returned negative for drugs.

On 22 December last year, the Magistrate's Court discharged and acquitted Wee after the prosecution withdrew the case following negative pathology results.
