The mother of a murder victim appeared at a Johor court today, 12 May, to see the faces of her son's alleged killers
Speaking to Harian Metro, Kim Ang, 60, arrived at the Tangkak Courthouse with her family at 8am today after learning that the three suspects linked to her son's death would be charged.
Kim lost her son, Tong Wee Sheng, 38, after he was allegedly hacked to death by three masked parang-wielding men at a restaurant in Bukit Kangkar on 13 March.
In a statement yesterday, 11 May, Johor acting police chief DCP Hoo Chuan Huat said police had arrested 10 suspects so far, with three of them charged in court today.
Investigations found the incident was linked to organised crime activities.

Since Tong's passing, Kim said she has been suffering from insomnia and relied on medication to cope
"I haven't been able to sleep for the past the past two months. Although I felt some relief after learning the suspects had been arrested, my anger has not gone away.
"I lost my son in an instant. It's too painful. My 11-year-old grandson keeps asking who killed his father," she said.
Kim said she doesn't know what the suspects looked like, prompting her to come to the court to identify them.
According to the New Straits Times, the victim's family carried banners calling for justice at the courthouse, with messages such as "return our son's life", "maximum punishment for the killers", and "justice for our son".
Kim added that her family is determined to follow every stage of the trial, even after the case is transferred to the High Court in Muar.
The suspects are Pan Wei Siang, 24, Henry Lau Yi Sheng, 26, and Tan Ah Chai, 32.
During the proceedings today, they nodded when the murder charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code was read to them.
NST reported that the trio were arrested on 28 April after hiding at several hotels in Melaka.

The trio, along with another suspect still at large, were charged with the killing of Tong Wee Sheng on 13 March.
