Malaysian rapper Namewee was released from police custody on Thursday afternoon, 13 November, after being granted a 13-day police bail
His bail came following nine days of remand over the death of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh Yu-hsin, better known as "Nurse Goddess".
Hsieh was found dead in a Kuala Lumpur hotel bathtub on 22 October.
According to local Chinese media reports, the 42-year-old was seen leaving the Jinjang police headquarters at around 3.47pm, accompanied by his lawyer, Joshua Tay, and longtime girlfriend, Sarah.
He was dressed in a dark brown striped shirt, black shorts, and a beanie as he walked out of the building and headed towards a waiting car.
He did not speak to the large group of reporters gathered outside the compound.

Police confirmed that Namewee was released on oral police bail until 26 November, pending the results of Hsieh's post-mortem and toxicology reports
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the investigation papers will be resubmitted to the deputy public prosecutor once the reports are received.
"The investigation papers will be referred back to the office of the Kuala Lumpur DPP, once the post-mortem report has been obtained," Fadil told Malaysiakini.
It is understood that Namewee posted the bail sum, spent a few minutes in the investigating officer's room, and then left the premises shortly after.
At about 1.30pm, police escorted him to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a detailed medical examination before he was brought back to the district headquarters.
Sarah and his lawyer were seen arriving at the police headquarters around 2.12 pm to handle the bail process.
