A 26-year-old driver has been arrested after a viral video captured a three-vehicle collision on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE)

According to FMT, police arrested the driver of a Proton Inspira after the vehicle skidded and stopped in the fast lane at KM28 of the expressway heading towards the Duta toll plaza on 9 May.

The 18-second video shows a Proton Wira hitting the Inspira, causing it to spin and veer to the left lane before being hit by a Toyota Hilux.

All three vehicles were badly damaged, though none of the drivers were reportedly injured

Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement chief Zamzuri Isa said the case is currently being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.

He said police officers are currently handling the case by collecting CCTV footage from the scene, taking witness statements, visiting the location, and inspecting and documenting the vehicles involved.
