A 14-year-old boy who allegedly stabbed a Form Four student to death at a school in Bandar Utama is believed to have confessed his feelings to the victim last night before the attack, according to witnesses

A student who witnessed the incident told the New Straits Times that the girl had apparently rejected the suspect's confession, saying she did not feel the same way.

The witness said the suspect, armed with multiple knives, cornered the 16-year-old girl in the school's female toilet before attacking her inside one of the cubicles.

"He was holding a knife and had her hostage inside the toilet. Then he started stabbing her repeatedly," the student said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The victim's friend, who was nearby, reportedly ran to alert a discipline teacher for help.

"The teacher rushed to the toilet and tried to kick down the door. After several attempts, she managed to break it open, but the boy escaped and began chasing other students with the knife," the witness recounted.

Panic broke out as the suspect, still holding the bloodstained weapon, ran into several Form One classrooms

"He ran into the classes, and everyone just started screaming and running outside. His shirt was covered in blood," the student said.

The chaos ended only after the suspect's elder brother and several teachers managed to restrain him and seize the knife.

"His brother managed to grab the knife after struggling with him. The teachers were trying to calm him down," the witness added.

The fatal stabbing took place at SMK Bandar Utama Damansara (4) earlier today, 14 October

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the suspect — also a student at the same school — was arrested shortly after.

Police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail has assured that schools across the country remain safe despite recent reports of bullying and violence, reported the New Straits Times.

He said such cases were minimal compared to the total number of schools, students, and teachers nationwide, adding that the police continue to work closely with education authorities to ensure safety.

"Overall, schools in this country are still safe. We have more than 10,000 schools with hundreds of thousands of students and over 400,000 teachers," he said.
