If you've received the RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) credit on your MyKad, you can now put it to good use at thousands of participating outlets nationwide
This one-off aid, rolled out on 31 August, is meant to help Malaysians cope with essential expenses and will remain valid until 31 December 2025.
All you need to do is present your MyKad at selected stores, and it will act as your "e-wallet".
At the counter, the RM100 will automatically be deducted for approved purchases.

The SARA credit is accepted at more than 7,300 registered outlets across Malaysia, from big supermarkets to small neighbourhood shops

Village Shops (Kedai Runcit)
For those living in rural areas, local kedai runcit such as Kedai Runcit Fatimah, Pasar Mini Azman, Fresh Hub, Arena Teraju Mart, MegaMart, and many more are also part of the programme. So, even if you're far from a hypermarket, you can still benefit.
To find the nearest participating outlet, just open the MyKasih app, where you'll see everything from large chains to small sundry shops right in your neighbourhood.

Alcohol, cigarettes, and luxury items are not covered.
Items thats are eligible for the credit will often be labelled or indicated.
Here are some quick tips for redeeming:
- Check your balance and eligible stores using the MyKasih app or website.
- With the app, you can scan product barcodes in-store to confirm if they're eligible.
- Shop during off-peak hours (weekday mornings or evenings) to avoid crowds.
- Some outlets like Mydin have even set up Kotak Rahmah SARA donation boxes, so you can pay it forward if you don't need the aid.
