A TikTok video shared by the Lahad Datu Sports Complex has gone viral, capturing the moment staff rescued a dog trapped in a flooded drain during heavy rain
In the clip, the dog can be seen shivering and struggling to stay above the rising water.
Despite the downpour, the staff used a shovel and rope to gently lift the frightened animal to safety. It remained calm as the kind men removed the rope from around its neck and offered it some food.
According to the sports complex, the dog has been taken for a check-up and is now safely in the care of SPCA Lahad Datu.
The heartwarming rescue has drawn praise online for the team's quick action and compassion.
