A man in Hualien, Taiwan, was captured on CCTV saving a choking dog, all the while talking on the phone
The incident, which occurred on 2 June 2025, was shared on Newsflare. The video shows the dog walking before suddenly freezing and collapsing, as it choked on something.
Noticing the dog's strange behaviour, the man quickly realised what was happening and leapt into action, all without ever letting go of his phone.
Remarkably, he continued his conversation even as he saved the dog's life
With a phone in one hand, the man patted the dog's chest and reached into its mouth to remove the obstruction.
After several moments, he managed to dislodge the object in the dog's throat, saving the pooch's life.
The other person on the phone remained unaware of what was going on throughout the entire incident, while the man's colleague only realised what was happening after the man started patting the dog on the back.
The man's multitasking skills were later shared online
The clip was shared on MS News's social media pages, where netizens applauded him for his quick thinking and also chimed in with amusing comments.
However, some criticised him for not letting go of his phone so he could use both hands to save the dog's life.
In any case, the dog's life was saved, disaster averted, and all is well for the man's furry friend.
