CIMB Bank has issued a notice stating that their MyDebit system will be down for three days, potentially affecting daily transactions

According to a statement yesterday, 2 July, the downtime is scheduled for the following dates:

  • 4 July (Friday) from 2am to 3am
  • 5 July (Saturday) from 12am to 8am
  • 9 July (Saturday) from 12am to 8am

Here's what's affected during the downtime:

Cardholders won't be able to use their ATM‑linked debit card for point-of-sale transactions, cash‑out terminals, fuel pre‑authentication, or online payments via MyDebit gateways.

However, transactions that don't rely on the MyDebit network — such as via Visa or Mastercard, DuitNow, FPX, or e‑wallets — will be unaffected.
