Police have arrested five teenage boys for performing dangerous Mat Rempit stunts and blocking an ambulance on the North–South Expressway (NSE)
The incident surfaced following a viral video shared by the ambulance driver last week.
Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisanuddin Ismail said the suspects, all aged 17, were arrested in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, between 3pm and 9pm on 26 October.
All five are students, and police also seized five kapcai motorcycles believed to have been used in the viral stunt, where some of them were seen striking the 'Superman' pose, lying flat on their seats while speeding through the rain.
The arrests came after the viral TikTok video by @SyakirinSyafi, showing a group of Mat Rempit blocking a Ministry of Health ambulance on the NSE during rainy weather.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred around 3.15pm on 19 October near Kuala Kangsar
The ambulance, responding to an emergency call at the 260km mark, was obstructed by the riders on its way to a crash site.
The five suspects were brought to the Kuala Kangsar Magistrate's Court on Monday, 27 October, where police obtained a two-day remand order until 29 October to assist with investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a fine of up to RM15,000 upon conviction.
In a statement, Noor Hisanuddin said police are taking the case seriously, especially as it involves endangering public safety.
"Police will take strict and appropriate action against offenders to serve as a lesson to others. We also urge the public to stay alert and report any reckless road behaviour carried out for entertainment," he said.
