2 More Minors Arrested Over Viral Kapcai Mob Attack On Myvi Driver

A total of 11 suspects have now been arrested in connection with the highway incident near Puchong that was caught on video.

Two more teenage boys have been arrested over the viral attack on a Perodua Myvi near Puchong, bringing the total number of suspects to 11

Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the two 16-year-olds were picked up in Puchong yesterday, 1 October, reported Harian Metro.

They have been remanded until tomorrow, 3 October, to assist with investigations into the case, where a group of over 20 riders was caught on video attacking the Myvi near the Batu 13 Toll Plaza in the early hours of Saturday, 27 September.

It is understood that one of them is suspected of smashing the Myvi driver's rear windscreen.

Meanwhile, the investigation paper will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's (DPP) office for further action

Earlier, nine individuals, including six minors, were arrested after the video of the attack went viral, showing motorcyclists surrounding and kicking the car on the highway.

The case is being investigated under Sections 279 and 427 of the Penal Code for reckless driving and committing mischief.
