Taiwanese influencer and former nurse Hsieh Yu-hsin, 31, has died in Malaysia, reportedly from a sudden heart attack

Better known online as Iris Hsieh or "Nurse Goddess", she was reportedly found dead in a hotel room bathtub at 12.30pm on 22 October, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Her manager, Chris, claimed that Hsieh died of a heart attack. He added that her family is struggling to accept her death, as they believe she was healthy and physically active.

He also said her family is considering pursuing further investigations into her death and has decided to keep the funeral arrangements private.

Malaysian rapper and filmmaker Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, was reportedly with Hsieh at the time of the incident

According to Sin Chew Daily, Hsieh and Namewee were scheduled to work on a music video. Police reported that the two had been discussing the project in a hotel room that night.

The Chinese daily reported that Namewee told police Hsieh had gone to the bathroom alone to take a shower but did not come out after half an hour. Concerned, Namewee went to check on her and found her unconscious.

After failing to resuscitate her with CPR, he called for paramedics but did not explain what had happened before heading straight to the elevator. He was then stopped by police officers stationed in the area.

After police brought him back to the hotel room, officers reportedly found substances believed to be drugs.

According to Sin Chew Daily, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said officers found nine pills believed to ecstasy, adding that Namewee tested positive for amphetamines, methamphetamine, ketamine, and THC.

He was later charged with drug use and possession of drugs, according to the New Straits Times. However, Namewee has denied all charges and is scheduled to appear in court on 18 December.

Namewee has since denied his involvement in Hsieh's death

The 42-year-old shared a statement on Instagram yesterday, 2 November, addressing what he called "unsubstantiated news reports" linking him to her death.

"I haven't used drugs, nor have I been carrying any. At most, I've been drinking more (alcohol) lately. Believe it or not, the truth will come out when the police report is released, which should take another two or three months," he wrote in a social media post, according to Sin Chew Daily.

Just days before the incident, Hsieh appeared in an Instagram reel

The video features several women posing in swimsuits. Hsieh appeared later in the video, dancing in a yellow swimsuit.
