A 39-year-old electrical engineer died on Saturday after the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a tanker truck on the PLUS Highway

Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the accident happened around 12.30pm, 30 August, reported Bernama.

The tanker, travelling from Bahau to Dengkil, swerved from the left lane into the emergency lane without signalling and collided with the motorcyclist.

"The 39-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene," Naazron said.

In a 33-second video posted on social media, the tanker truck is seen suddenly veering into the emergency lane and hitting the motorcyclist.

The video shows the truck failing to stop after the collision, speeding off immediately after the crash.
