Toddler Dies After Being Left In Car For 9 Hours, Mum Detained For Abandonment
Seremban police said the 35-year-old woman only realised her son was still in the vehicle after finishing work at 5pm.

A mother has been detained for alleged abandonment after her 2-year-old son reportedly died after being left inside a car in Seremban
Seremban district police chief ACP Azahar Abdul Rahim said authorities received an emergency call at around 6.15pm yesterday, 27 January, reporting an unconscious toddler inside a vehicle along Jalan Tunku Hassan.
Initial investigations found the child unresponsive inside a white Proton Saga.
Police believe the boy had been left in the car since about 8am.
Nearby shop workers said they heard shouting in the area shortly before police arrived. Authorities later cordoned off the scene and dispersed onlookers.

Authorities said the 35-year-old mother, who works as a bank employee, allegedly forgot to drop her son off at a babysitter before heading to work
She only realised the child was still inside the car after finishing work at around 5pm. Medical personnel who arrived at the scene confirmed the toddler had died.
The child's body has been sent to Hospital Tampin for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are investigating the case under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001 and have detained the mother to assist investigations.
