26-year-old Vera Kravtsova, a former contestant on The Voice Russia, travelled to Thailand for a modelling job but later reportedly went missing in Myanmar
According to Thai daily newspaper Khaosod, Kravtsova arrived in Bangkok on 12 September and departed for Yangon, Myanmar, on 20 September via Thai Airways.
Shortly after arriving in Myanmar, she stopped communicating with her family and has been reported missing since.

However, immigration records and CCTV footage showed no signs of abduction while she was in Thailand, suggesting that her departure to Myanmar was voluntary.
According to Ukrainian National News, upon arriving in Myanmar, Kravtsova was forced to work at a cyber scam centre, where victims are made to pose as fake online personas and trick people into sending money through dating profiles.
In early October, her family reported that they received an official letter of her death from Myanmar
The document stated that Kravtsova had been working in the village of Phlu, Myanmar, and died from an alleged heart attack.

Her cremation reportedly took place in the nearby village of Inkin on 16 October at noon.
However, other media claimed that her body was sold for organ harvesting and later cremated.
Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool has since voiced concern and is monitoring online discussion over the case
The agency is monitoring online reactions to the disappearance of Kravtsova, amid concerns it could affect confidence in Thailand's tourism safety.
She instructed the TAT Moscow Office to assess the situation and track related discussions on social media.
TAT stated that there has been no evidence of travel cancellations linked to the case but advised travellers to remain cautious and alert when abroad.
