RM2 Million Ransom Kidnapping: 5 Suspects Charged Are All From The Same Family
Last week in Klang, police shot dead a 21-year-old suspect linked to the case.
Five family members were charged at the Seremban Sessions Court yesterday, 24 April, for allegedly abducting a 16-year-old girl and demanding a ransom of RM2 million
According to FMT, D Sasveena, 31; her husband T Boharaj, 32; her step-sibling Farhin Ariffin, 23; and two biological siblings, PK Koshenn Kumar, 21; and PK Siveeshinaa pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The five individuals were charged under Section 3(1) of the Kidnapping Act 1961, which is read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code.
If convicted, they could face up to 40 years in prison and whipping.

The five family members are accused of acting with common intent to abduct the teenager in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and demanding a RM2 million ransom
The victim was forcibly taken in front of a salon at Jalan S2 B10, Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2, at about 5.45pm on 10 April, reported the New Straits Times.
She was later released in Sendayan at 8.30pm on 11 April, after her family paid RM280,000 and handed over several pieces of jewellery.
Three days later, on 14 April, the police tracked down a 21-year-old suspect in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang while he was driving a blue Proton Wira.
The Vibes reported that the deceased suspect refused to stop his car when he was chased by the police.
He rammed into a police vehicle and opened fire, prompting the police to intercept the car and fatally shoot him.
None of the suspects, including the deceased, had prior criminal records.
