A policeman has been arrested after the police pickup truck he was driving crashed into two motorcycles along Persiaran Wawasan in Kangar, Perlis, on Tuesday night, 25 November
One rider was killed, and another was seriously injured.
District police chief ACP Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop said the crash happened around 10.20pm while the policeman was on patrol in the area.
"Preliminary investigations indicate negligence on the part of the truck driver. The policeman has been arrested to assist with further investigations," the New Straits Times quoted him as saying.
Local reports said a brief commotion broke out at the scene following the collision
