A pet dog named Aboy is now alone after a couple and their son were found dead in their home in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan yesterday, 1 July

According to Bernama, Seremban district police chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din said the deceased were a 61-year-old man, his 59-year-old wife, and their 30-year-old son.

Police were alerted by a member of the public to a foul smell from the locked house in Taman Bukit Kristal.

"Acting on the information, the police and fire brigade went to the house and cut the padlock of the house's gate. An inspection later found three bodies in a state of decomposition in two bedrooms of the house," Mohamad Hatta said.

The son's body was found with a cut wound, and bloodstained four knives were recovered at the scene. Various types of drugs were also found on a table in the living room.

The bodies have been sent to Rembau Hospital for post-mortem examinations to determine the cause of death.

Police believe that the victims had been dead for over three days, as the bodies showed clear signs of decomposition.

Even after their deaths, their loyal dog remained by their side and never left the house

In a video uploaded by animal rescuer Liza Sharif, Aboy looks visibly sad as she repeatedly calls his name to check if he is okay.

The video has since gone viral, drawing sympathy from netizens.

One Facebook user wrote, "Dogs can sense sorrow. I feel so bad for him. He must be very down and in pain right now."

Speaking to SAYS, Liza said Aboy is now under her care

"The deceased were my front neighbours. I know about Aboy since they moved in.

"Every time Aboy was sick or injured, I was the one to bring him to the vet," said the co-founder of FurryKids Safehaven, an animal welfare NGO and shelter.

Liza shared that the deceased were animal lovers, often feeding strays and monkeys.

"They loved Aboy, especially the son, who is autistic," she said.

Liza said Aboy was sitting in front of the family's car when she approached him, surrounded by police officers.
