Murder Probe Launched After College Student Found Dead In Subang Home

Police are investigating the murder of a college student who was found dead at her family home in USJ 2/1, Subang Jaya, on Thursday, 14 August
Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the victim's father discovered her body in the second-floor living room around 11.55am.
The victim, in her 20s, was believed to have been home alone before the incident occurred.
A post-mortem conducted at Hospital Serdang revealed that the victim died from bleeding around the hyoid bone in the neck, consistent with manual strangulation.
"The injuries to the victim's muscles and bones were caused by manual strangulation. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder," Wan Azlan said in a statement on Sunday, 17 August.

According to the New Straits Times, Wan Azlan said a preliminary investigation revealed no signs of forced entry, and no valuables were reported missing.
He added that the victim lived with her sister and cousin, who were not home during the incident.
Wan Azlan also urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information about the case on social media.
