Missing Teenager Found Dead Alongside 18-Year-Old Man In Car

A 17-year-old girl who had been reported missing was found dead alongside an 18-year-old man in a car in Sandakan, Sabah yesterday, 11 January

According to Buletin TV3, the pair were discovered in the back passenger seat of a vehicle at about 8am on Sunday.

Sandakan deputy police chief Supt K Ramasamy said police officers and the forensic unit rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call from members of the public.

Initial inspections found that the vehicle's windows were fully closed, and the pair's personal belongings and valuables were still inside.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man left his house to meet the student last Friday, 9 January, after which both could no longer be contacted

"The male victim's father later located his car at the Bandar Sejati Walk car park and discovered both individuals after opening the vehicle using a spare key," said Ramasamy.

Harian Metro reported the pair were believed to be in a romantic relationship.

Police found no signs of foul play, and both bodies were sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Ramasamy said the case is currently being classified as sudden death.
