The Ford Fiesta is believed to have entered the opposite lane before the head-on collision

Preliminary investigations found that the Ford Fiesta, driven by a 31-year-old military officer, is believed to have veered into the opposite lane.

The vehicle then collided head-on with the e-hailing MPV, which was travelling straight in the left lane at the time of the incident.

Police are still investigating the sequence of events, including reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the area.

Passenger killed, four others injured

The e-hailing vehicle was carrying two Bangladeshi passengers who had just arrived from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The 22-year-old male passenger, who was seated in the middle row, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female passenger, Nafisa Tabassum Adiba, aged 20, sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

The 41-year-old e-hailing driver also suffered head injuries.

In the Ford Fiesta, the driver sustained minor injuries, while a 36-year-old female passenger in the same car was also injured.

All injured individuals were taken to HKL for further treatment.

Breathalyser test exceeded legal limit, drug test negative

"The results of the breathalyser test on the driver of the Ford Fiesta showed that the reading exceeded the permitted limit," said Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa.

A urine screening test was also carried out, which returned a negative result for drugs.

The Ford Fiesta driver has since been arrested, with the case being investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Amendment 2020) for driving under the influence of alcohol, resulting in death

The offence carries a maximum prison term of up to 15 years and a fine of up to RM100,000.

Members of the public or witnesses with information have been urged to contact the Jalan Tun H S Lee Traffic Police Station at 03-2071 9999 or any nearby police station.

Separately, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin confirmed he is aware of the incident but declined to comment further

He said that the matter should be handled by the police, despite the individual being from the military.

"Although it involves a soldier, we will let the police conduct the investigation. I cannot determine what actually happened," he said.

The deceased has since been identified as 22-year-old Muzahid Millad, a gaming content creator known online as "Advance Gaming"

News of his death sparked an outpouring of grief across social media, particularly within Bangladesh's online gaming community.

Hashtags such as #JusticeForMuzahid and #JusticeForAdvanceGaming began circulating, as users called for accountability following the fatal crash.

A statement posted on his YouTube channel, which has more than 790,000 subscribers, confirmed his death and asked the public to pray for him.

Family members have also spoken out following the incident

Muzahid's uncle, Mohibul Hasan, said the couple had come to Malaysia for a holiday and had only just arrived before the crash occurred.

"They were here on holiday. They were just tourists," he said.

He also questioned how a drink driver was allowed on the road and expressed hope that justice would be served, according to the New Straits Times.

"Why was a drunk person driving? Drunks should stay at home. Why are they driving?

"I am asking this, but asking is of no use," he added.

He said he hoped the legal process would take its course.

"He was drunk. I want to see how Malaysian law will deal with this."
