The case is currently being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealing a birth by secretly disposing of its dead body

Yesterday, 25 March, residents in the Kelemak neighbourhood were shocked when police officers arrived and were seen using hoes to dig the soil within the suspects' compound.

Speaking to Harian Metro, a resident, who was celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, said he witnessed authorities arriving at 9am.

"I came here (to the residence) to celebrate Hari Raya at my sister's house and was surprised when I was told that a police forensic team had come because of a criminal case.

"At first I thought it was a normal case, but the neighbor informed the police that they found the skeleton of a baby who was believed to have been buried immediately after birth about four months ago," he said.

He added that he did not expect the area to become a crime scene, given its quiet surroundings.
