In a statement this morning, the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) said it had reviewed investigation papers submitted by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and found sufficient evidence to proceed with charges against the suspects.

On 11 October, four Form 5 students were arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old student in a classroom at a school in Alor Gajah. The act was reportedly recorded on a mobile phone by two of the suspects.

The incident came to light after a teacher alerted the victim's mother about the circulation of the video within the school, prompting her to lodge a police report.
