A 20-year-old deliveryman has been sentenced to 240 hours of community service within 12 months after pleading guilty to raping a minor
The Star reported that the accused, Yarits Dzikri Yunus, was also ordered by Judge Surita Budin to comply with several other conditions.
He is required to report himself at a police station monthly and attend counselling, among other conditions.
He is also required to post a RM5,000 bail with a family guarantor, with non-compliance potentially leading to a one-year jail sentence.

It was reported that he sexually assaulted her in a store near a house at Kampung Ulu Beranang, Lenggeng, around 3.30pm on 22 August.
His lawyer, Asmawi Ismail, said the chat group was for adults only, and that Yunus was allegedly unaware the victim was a minor.
Sinar Harian reported that the girl was allegedly offering sexual services on the chat group.
The accused was charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code for rape, which carries a 20-year jail sentence and caning.
Asmawi pleaded for leniency, saying his client is a young offender with no prior record
If he fails to comply with the conditions, he will be brought back to court to face the original charge.
Deputy public prosecutor Norazihah Asmuni pressed for a stiffer sentence, given that the victim was a child.
She added that a guilty plea should not be considered a mitigating factor, given the rise in child sexual assault cases.
The Star reported that in March 2025, a 19-year-old student was also ordered to undergo 240 hours of community service after pleading guilty to the charge of raping an underage girl.
