A man was attacked by a crocodile in a farm area at Kampung Sungai Buaya in Teluk Intan, Perak, on Saturday, 29 November

According to Berita Harian, the victim suffered severe injuries to his left knee.

Perak Wildlife and National Parks Department (PERHILITAN) director Yusoff Shariff confirmed that they received a report of the incident at 6.30pm, and the victim was later treated at Hospital Teluk Intan.

He said the crocodile may have entered the area after floodwaters overflowed from a nearby canal.

"It's possible the crocodile ended up there because of the floods. Yes, this is the first sighting of a crocodile in that area," he said.
