Man Allegedly Killed By Friends While Hunting In Batu Caves, Body Dumped 300km Away In Perak

A 43-year-old man was found dead in Semanggol, Perak on Monday, 29 September, after allegedly being accidentally shot by his friends during a hunting trip
According to Bernama, police believe the incident occurred on Sunday, 28 September, when the victim and three men went hunting for wild animals in Batu Caves, Selangor.
Around 8pm, one of the suspects allegedly shot the victim, mistaking him for an animal.
"After the incident, [the three suspects] conspired to take the victim's body to Semanggol in a vehicle accompanied by two other vehicles, and the victim's body was abandoned on the side of an unpaved road to create a different story from the real (hunting) incident," said Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin.

An initial examination found three suspected gunshot wounds on the victim's back, and a post-mortem will be conducted at Taiping Hospital today, 1 October.
Two men, aged 32 and 33, were arrested in Kampung Selamat, Semanggol at about 12.30pm on Monday. One of them is believed to be related to the victim.
Later that night, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested in Batu Caves. Police are still tracking down a fourth suspect, who is also believed to be involved in the incident.
Authorities have also seized a Toyota Vellfire, a Mazda, a Toyota Hilux, two homemade rifle barrels, 11 rounds of 12-bore ammunition, and four mobile phones.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
