A woman walked 2km to meet her husband after learning he had been arrested for his involvement in mat rempit activities in Klang, Selangor
According to Utusan Malaysia, the woman, in her 20s, rushed out of her home in the wee hours of yesterday morning, 13 July, after he was detained along Persiaran Raja Muda Musa, an expressway linking Klang to Port Klang.
The couple had only been married for a few months. Without a vehicle of her own, the woman walked from her home in Pandamaran to the scene, where police were conducting Operasi Bersepadu Samseng Jalanan, a coordinated crackdown on illegal street racing.
The wife said she had warned her husband against taking part in such activities, but he ignored her advice.

More than 100 police and Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers took part in the 3am operation
Sinar Harian reported that several motorcyclists tried to evade arrest by riding recklessly against oncoming traffic.
Among those detained was a 17-year-old who admitted to using his father's motorcycle to participate in the illegal activities.
South Klang district police chief ACP Ramli Kasa said a total of 128 summonses were issued during the operation for various offences, including expired road tax, underage riding, missing registration plates, illegal motorcycle modifications, riding without a licence, and not wearing a helmet, among other offences.
