If you regularly take the LRT Kelana Jaya Line, heads up: selected stations will open later than usual at 9am instead of 6am on specific dates due to ongoing upgrade works, which are set to continue until the end of November

In a recent statement, Prasarana confirmed that Phases 2 and 3 of the signalling system upgrade will now kick off on 6 September, delayed from the initially scheduled 9 August.

The delay was made to allow for additional testing of the Phase 1 system to ensure everything runs smoothly before moving forward.

It previously announced that the upgrade works will be carried out in three phases, but only Phases 2 and 3 will impact train operations.

"As previously announced, for Phases 2 and 3, testing sessions will be extended into the morning on selected dates, causing some stations to open to passengers only from 9am, later than the usual 6am start," it said.

To ensure smooth travel for passengers, Prasarana announced that free shuttle buses and vans will be provided to connect the affected stations

The company said commuters can also seek help from station staff, auxiliary police, and Prasarana Troopers (trained volunteers) who will be stationed at the affected stations.

"Prasarana apologises for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of these upgrade works," it added.
