[VIDEO] Ipoh Eatery Alleges Customer Slapped Staff Over A Plate Of Mixed Rice Costing RM13
The man returned 15 minutes after receiving a full refund and allegedly assaulted the worker.
Cover image via FacebookAn eatery in Ipoh has filed a police report against a man who allegedly slapped one of their staff over the price of a plate of mixed rice
According to a Facebook post shared on 31 May, the incident took place at around 4.30pm on 28 May.
The man had ordered a meal comprising three meat items and extra rice — diced chicken (RM3.30), chicken nuggets (RM3), meat patties (RM3.30), and two bowls of rice (RM3.40) — which came up to RM13.
After paying for his food, the man was seen walking towards a table, visibly upset.
Although the CCTV footage shared in the post did not include audio, he appeared to yell at one of the workers while pointing at both the staff and the plate of food on the table. At one point, he seemed to raise his hand at the staff, who then walked away towards the counter, with the man continuing to yell at him.

The man continued berating the staff at the counter, and the worker eventually gave him a full refund from the cash register. The man was seen snatching the money from the staff's hand before walking out.

However, the situation didn't end there
In another CCTV clip, the man is seen returning to the eatery roughly 15 minutes later, this time with another person. He continues scolding the staff before both men leave in a white car.
According to a police report the eatery has lodged, the man came back demanding an apology.
After the staff complied and apologised, the man allegedly said it wasn't enough and slapped him.
He also allegedly threatened to wait for the staff member after his shift.
