A primary school headmaster has been accused of molesting a 12-year-old pupil and saying "I love you" in a toilet

According to FMT, Melaka police chief Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the suspect was arrested last Friday, 8 August, after the boy's mother lodged a report.

The suspect cooperated during the investigation, and was released on bail after his statements were recorded.

The alleged sexual assault came to light after the Year 6 pupil confided in his mother that he had been molested on several occasions at school since June, reported Utusan Malaysia.

The most recent alleged incident occurred at 8am on 29 July, when the complainant and his two friends were in the school toilet.

The suspect reportedly entered the toilet and asked one of his friends to return to class, unaware that the other friend was still there.

"The suspect then hugged the victim from behind while holding him back and whispering 'I love you'.

"The headmaster forced the victim to respond to him, causing the child to reply 'I love you too' in a state of fear," a source told Utusan Malaysia.

In June, the victim allegedly endured a similar ordeal after being called to the headmaster's office to help with a task

"Suddenly, the suspect hugged and groped the victim's back, chest, and genitals in front of his friend, but the victim did not dare to tell her mother about the incident for fear of being scolded," the source said.

However, the child eventually told his mother after claiming he could no longer endure the alleged sexual harassment.
