The teen was arrested yesterday outside his family home

His mother, a 51-year-old teacher, and his 21-year-old brother were found dead at their home in Taman Rambai Mutiara, Bukit Rambai, around 5am. His 13-year-old younger brother was seriously injured in the attack but survived, and is currently being treated at Melaka Hospital.

The murder weapon, a bloodied 20cm folding knife, was found in a school bag near the scene.

Police arrested the teen outside the house, where he was found sitting in a dazed state.

He has since confessed to the killings, which authorities believe were driven by built-up resentment over academic pressure.

The suspect was reportedly distressed by how his mother and older brother were pressuring him to excel academically, including scolding him and forcing him study late into the night.
