A Form 3 student is in critical condition after allegedly falling from the third floor of his school dormitory in Sabak Bernam, Selangor, early Tuesday morning, 26 August
The 15-year-old reportedly suffered bleeding on both sides of the brain, a fractured jaw, and lung injuries, prompting his family to suspect the incident was linked to bullying.
"If he really fell from the third floor, his body should be badly broken. But the CT scan only showed a fractured jaw. That's why we suspect there may be elements of bullying," the victim's uncle told Sinar Harian.
According to Media Selangor, Ministry of Education director-general Mohd Azam Ahmad said the student is currently receiving treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital, where he has been sedated and is under close medical observation.
A short video on Facebook purportedly shows the student being wheeled on a hospital bed while unconscious.

She added that the ministry has also launched an internal probe to examine the school's standard operating procedures and address the bullying allegations.
"I pray for the student's speedy recovery and for strength to be granted to the family during this trial," she wrote in a Facebook post yesterday.
She also said the school's principal, senior assistant for student affairs, and all wardens have been temporarily reassigned to the Selangor State Education Department pending investigations.

In the meantime, Selangor police have urged the public not to speculate on the incident
"Do not make assumptions that could disrupt the investigation or affect the emotions of the victim's family," said state police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar in a statement yesterday.
He said investigations were opened under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001 for ill-treatment, neglect, abandonment, or exposure of children, adding that the probe will also look into student safety, dormitory management, and the social background of both the victim and his peers.
He said the cause of the incident, including allegations of bullying, cannot yet be confirmed.
The police are currently recording statements from witnesses and other relevant individuals.
