The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has taken action against nine foreigners driving luxury cars in violation of traffic laws
According to Bernama, the enforcement was carried out under Op Luxury 3.0 held from 7 August to 9 August. The operation targeted luxury vehicles involved in traffic offences.
A total of 104 vehicles, including Ferraris, Range Rovers, and Porsches, driven by both locals and foreigners, were seized during the operation.
Among the offenders were nine foreigners found to be driving luxury vehicles without valid insurance and road tax.
The New Straits Times reported that one foreigner, who was driving a modified orange Porsche, possessed a Malaysian driving licence believed to be forged.
The driver claimed the vehicle belonged to his friend.
JPJ Senior Enforcement Director Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan said the case highlights how some foreign nationals blatantly flout the law by driving luxury cars without adhering to regulations.

"JPJ will conduct further investigations to determine how the fake licence was obtained," Kifli said
"We will also look into the possibility of a syndicate being involved in producing these documents, and a thorough investigation will be carried out from various angles," he added.
Muhammad Kifli revealed that most of the vehicles seized were valued at over RM500,000 each, with the majority of foreigners hailing from South Asia.
"They gave various excuses, claiming they forgot to renew their road tax or that the vehicle belonged to a friend or relative," he said.
