An explosion involving a compressor at a private university in Bukit Damansara left nine people injured today, 12 January, including four students
City police chief Fadil Marsus confirmed the incident, Bernama reported.
The Fire and Rescue Department also confirmed that an explosion occurred at a higher learning institution in the Damansara area, reported the New Straits Times.

Details about the cause of the explosion remain limited, as authorities are still assessing the situation
The incident caused significant disruption to traffic along the Damansara Link, where vehicles were seen at a standstill.
Motorists were observed exiting their cars to look toward the scene.
MRT feeder bus services in the area were also affected, with commuters reportedly alighting from buses in the middle of the road and walking toward the nearest station.
Emergency responders remain on site, and further updates are expected as investigations continue.
