A 28-year-old Malaysian man has been sentenced to six weeks in prison after attempting to grab the guns of two Singaporean auxiliary police officers

According to Lianhe Zaobao, the man, identified only as Fazli, was passing through Woodlands Checkpoint to return to Malaysia when he spotted an auxiliary police officer on duty with a firearm — and curiosity got the better of him.

Fazli, a Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT) bus driver, was reportedly curious about the weapon, and wanted to know if "it had bullets"

He first tried speaking to the officer in Malay, but the officer did not understand him.

Fazli then asked in English, "Does your gun have bullets?" before reaching for the weapon.

The officer stopped Fazli and called for reinforcements, at which point a second auxiliary officer arrived — and Fazli attempted to grab his gun as well.

The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV.

Fazli was subsequently arrested and charged with two counts of using criminal force to obstruct a public servant
