A 6-year-old girl has died after being hit by an SUV driven by an unlicensed woman in Manir, Kuala Terengganu
According to Bernama, the incident occurred along Jalan Perumahan Batu Hampar last Saturday, 28 February.
Kuala Terengganu district police chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor said police received a report at 4.12pm regarding the crash involving a Toyota Harrier and a bicycle.
The victim, Nur Adelia Qistina Mohd Shukri, was reportedly riding her bicycle when the SUV emerged from a junction and struck her.
"Due to the close distance, the driver was unable to avoid the bicycle and hit the front left side of the bicycle," said Azli.

The driver, a 43-year-old businessperson, was driving the vehicle without a valid driving licence
Sinar Harian reported that the vehicle belonged to her husband.
The victim was pronounced dead at the Manir Health Clinic, and her body was taken to Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah for further action.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
