Three suspected Malaysian criminals have been detained after turning aggressive at an airport in Mumbai, India
According to Bernama, the incident took place at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport after they were deported from the UK on Sunday, 25 January.
The trio — who are wanted in Malaysia for murder, arson, and robbery — had fled Malaysia to Mumbai before attempting to enter Manchester.
However, British authorities denied them entry and sent them back to India, the last port of departure.
Upon arrival in Mumbai, the three men reportedly engaged in a brawl with Indian security personnel.
"They behaved like they had nothing to lose. It took multiple officers to restrain them and move them to a secure location," an airport source was quoted as saying.
FMT reported that the men were placed in the airport's detention room under high security.

A special Malaysian police team is expected to fly to Mumbai to repatriate the three suspects
In September last year, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said authorities dismantled a gang allegedly linked to the killing of two men in Taman Sentosa, Klang.
He said the gang, led by a Malaysian, had been operating since 2023 and comprised 33 members.
The group is believed to have been involved in multiple violent crimes, including murder, armed attacks, arson, and gang robberies across Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, and Perak.
Bukit Aman's Op Jack Sparrow resulted in the arrest of 17 suspects aged between 19 and 44 under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act.
