2 Teenagers Allegedly Rape A Pagoh University Student After Robbing Her Boyfriend

A 17-year-old and his 19-year-old friend have been arrested for allegedly raping a woman after robbing her boyfriend in Muar earlier this week

According to reports, the two suspects allegedly raped the victim, a student at a higher learning institution in Pagoh, around 8.30pm on Monday, 7 July.

The incident is believed to have taken place when the 20-year-old victim was riding pillion on her 23-year-old boyfriend's motorcycle.

As the couple was passing through Jalan Kampung Jawa, Panchor, they were stopped by the two suspects riding another motorcycle.

They demanded that the couple empty their pockets for cash. After taking a handbag containing RM250, they told the couple it was not enough, reported Berita Harian.

The two suspects then took the victim on their motorcycle to a nearby oil palm plantation, where they allegedly raped her, according to the New Straits Times.

They later sent the victim to her campus in Pagoh.

The victim and her boyfriend lodged a police report at the Panchor police station the same night, leading to the arrest of both suspects shortly after.

They have been remanded to assist in investigations.

Magistrate Fatin Dalilah Khalid today, 9 July, ordered the two suspects to be remanded, with the younger suspect held for three days and the 19-year-old for five days under Section 395 and Section 376 of the Penal Code.
