Chinese New Year collections usually come in loud — blazing reds, glossy symbolism, and prosperity motifs doing the absolute most
But local streetwear brand AGAINST LAB isn't doing any of that.
For Pre-Spring and CNY 2026, the Kuala Lumpur-based label has dropped Dirt & Dignity, a collection that pays tribute to the unseen labour quietly holding everyday life together.
Not the kind that gets praised or posted. The kind that starts before sunrise, ends long after, and only gets noticed when it doesn't happen.
Instead of romanticising hardship, Dirt & Dignity looks at work for what it really is: repetitive, demanding, and often invisible. But essential all the same.
The collection focuses on endurance. Responsibility. Showing up even when there's no applause, no recognition, no shiny moment to post about.
That idea translates directly into the clothes. The collection features utilitarian silhouettes, workwear-inspired construction, and materials chosen for durability rather than decoration.

Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2015, AGAINST LAB was built by three individuals from retail, graffiti/illustration, and marketing backgrounds, united by a shared love for street culture and honest design
From day one, the brand has stood for the underdog spirit: creating with limited resources, but a very clear point of view.
