KTMB Launches Special CNY Night Train From KL To Padang Besar

The train will stop at 11 key stations along the way.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is rolling out a special excursion train to make your journey north a lot more relaxing this Chinese New Year

KTMB has introduced RTSM (Railway to See Malaysia), a limited-time service running between KL Sentral and Padang Besar this February.

Perfect for families, the elderly, or anyone who prefers a smoother ride, this overnight train lets you rest while travelling to your festive destination.

The RTSM train will operate on 13, 14, 16, and 17 February, with 1,344 tickets available

  • KL Sentral → Padang Besar
    Departs 10.30pm, arrives 7.28am (13 & 16 February)
  • Padang Besar → KL Sentral
    Departs 10.00pm, arrives 6.44am (14 & 17 February)


The train will stop at 11 key stations, including Sungai Buloh, Tanjung Malim, Kampar, Batu Gajah, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, Sungai Petani, Alor Setar, and Arau, before ending at Padang Besar.
