Whether it's our daily office commute, a balik kampung road trip, or picking up the kids from school, most of us end up spending hours on the road every week

To make life easier, many of us already use the PLUS App to do tasks such as check on traffic feeds along our routes, record our toll payments, and find self-service kiosks.

Now, with the PLUS app's new PLUS Passport feature, these hours spent on the road can be made more rewarding, as you'll be able to make each drive more fun and rewarding through check-ins, tasks, and discoveries.

Here are a few examples of how you can maximise your driving time with the Passport feature:

1. Track your weekly progress with check-ins

PLUS Passport has a check-in feature that lets you check-in and collect stamps whenever you visit a cool location.

This can be a surprisingly satisfying way of adding structure or a sense of achievement to your daily commutes, and you'll also get extra perks the more you visit new locations (see below).

2. Get rewards for your check-ins and shares

If you're grabbing coffee at the Seremban R&R or taking a quick toilet break in Rawang, you're already on the way to earning rewards!

Simply open the PLUS App, check-in with the PLUS Passport at any R&R or Point of Interest (POI), and you'll start collecting bonus PLUSMiles points.

Just set yourself an achievable goal (like one or two check-ins per week) and keep at it, and you'll quickly collect enough points to redeem real rewards like a cup of coffee!

3. Use PLUS Passport to turn your commute into a travel diary

Next, the PLUS Story feature lets you upload photos and mini updates from your stops and share selfies, scenery snaps, and food pics to other users on the app.

Better yet, you'll also get rewarded for sharing, which makes it a fun way to keep track of your travels and get inspo from others.

4. Find hidden gems and interesting spots

Your usual highway route might be hiding an amazing cendol stall that you never knew existed.

With the Local Discovery function, PLUS Passport gives you tips on places worth checking out, including Insta-worthy spots, underrated foodie spots, or cultural points of interest.

Some highlight spots you check into include:

  • Rainbow Skywalk and Observatory Deck, Penang
  • Pasar Payang, Terengganu
  • Alive 3D Art Gallery, Port Dickson
  • The Shore, Melaka

PLUS Passport is built into the PLUS App, so you don't need to download anything else!

Simply activate PLUS Passport within the app and start your check-in adventure — no extra accounts needed.

If you've already got the PLUS App for tolls and traffic updates, you're all set! If you don't, you can download the PLUS App on the App Store or Google Play Store.
