The auction started at RM55,000 but quickly snowballed

Listed by Malaysian streamer KimoEZ, the card drew in collectors from across the globe. In just five days, 43 bids were placed by 10 participants from Malaysia, Thailand, the US, South Korea, and Europe.

To hype things up, Collektr hosted a livestream during the final 25 minutes of the auction. In the nail-biting finale, US-based MTG store owner Michael Caffrey of TOAMagic swooped in with the winning RM105,100 bid.

"To see a Malaysian streamer pull this card live from a local hobby shop and sell it to an international buyer at a world-record price is exactly why Collektr was built," said Adlin Yusman, founder of Collektr.

To KimoEZ, it was more than just selling a card. "From the thrill of pulling the Soul Stone live in Shah Alam, to watching collectors from foreign countries battle it out and knowing the card is treasured by another passionate collector, it was an unforgettable journey," he said.

This record marks a defining moment that puts Malaysia's collectors on the world map

It's proof that Malaysia isn't only participating in global collectibles, but leading it.

"This is just the beginning," said KimoEZ. "If one card can unite people across Malaysia and beyond, imagine what else we can build together as a community."
