The Education Ministry (MOE) has ordered the principal, senior assistant for student affairs, and all wardens of SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha to be temporarily placed at the Sabah State Education Department (JPN) until the police completes its investigation

According to a statement this morning, 13 August, the decision was made following the Royal Malaysia Police's (PDRM) announcement that a Bukit Aman special task force is taking over the investigation into Zara Qairina's death.

"The MOE will extend full cooperation to the authorities to ensure the investigation is carried out thoroughly, carefully, and conclusively.

"As emphasised before, this case is the MOE's priority at the moment," it said.

The MOE also hopes that a transparent and comprehensive investigation can be conducted to ensure justice for the family and all parties involved.
