The victim's sibling, who shared the incident on Facebook, said her sister was shopping with her boyfriend when she suddenly felt something was wrong.
After turning around, she saw a man quickly pulling his phone away from beneath her skirt.
Her boyfriend immediately confronted the man, who initially denied everything. However, during the exchange, the boyfriend managed to snatch the man's phone and demanded that he unlock it.

They allegedly discovered a media gallery, titled 'Voy Comp 49', filled with many more secretly-recorded videos of other women — all upskirt shots and close-up photos of women's chests
The couple quickly alerted a nearby store employee, who then escalated the matter to the mall security and the police.
"The employee even mentioned that the man often loitered around the store, and they had previously assumed he was just trying to steal something," the victim's sister added.
In one of the videos she posted, the man is seen explaining his actions to mall security, claiming he couldn't control his behaviour due to a medical condition, a statement that has sparked outrage and ridicule in the comments.
"He said he suffers from a disease that makes him unable to control his behaviour," the victim's sister shared.

The victim's sister also urged women to stay alert in public spaces
"If you ever witness something like this, be brave and stop them. Report them to the authorities. Don't let these perverts walk free," she said.
According to Oriental Daily, Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin confirmed the incident and said the suspect is currently in remand.
