The chief warden of SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha told the Coroner's Court on Thursday, 18 September, that the school was initially unaware of the circumstances behind the viral quote "kalau aku touch-touch, kau berdarah (if I touch you, you'll bleed)"
The threat was allegedly made by one of Zara's seniors, known only as 'Kak M'.
According to The Edge, Azhari Abd Sagap, 31, testified that the school only learned about the incident after an audio recording of Zara's conversation with her mother, Noraidah Lamat, went viral on social media following her death.
In the 44-second clip, the Form 1 student is heard telling her mother: "What can I do, Mak? That day she said, 'If I touch you, you will bleed.' What if she really does it?"
Azhari, the eighth witness in the inquest into Zara Qairina's death, said the school launched an internal investigation after the recording went viral and later handed over its findings and evidence to the police.
"We also brought the student known as 'Kak M' and all the students mentioned in the audio to give statements to the police," he said.

Azhari said the internal probe revealed that the threat was allegedly made in May, after Zara and her friend left a note criticising Kak M's younger sibling for allegedly intimidating juniors
"The investigation revealed that 'Kak M' is alleged to have said this after her younger sibling, who is in Form 2, was mocked by Zara Qairina and her friend," Azhari said, as quoted by The Edge.
"The student [Kak M] was emotionally unstable at the time as her room was messy and dirty," he added when questioned by lawyer Abdul Fikry Jaafar, representing the teenagers accused of bullying in the case.
According to the warden, the note read: "Dia seorang yang 'sok orku', sengaja takutkan Form 1, padahal baru juga junior (She's a show-off, deliberately scaring Form 1 students, even though she's also just a junior)"
Azhari said evidence submitted to police also included the nickname of Kak M's sibling, 'sok orku'.
He explained that 'sok sok' means to pretend, while 'orku' is short for orang kuat (strong person).
The inquest into Zara Qairina's death, which occurred under unclear circumstances, is still ongoing.
