Moo Deng has been winning hearts and stealing the spotlight on social media, all just for being her goofy self

Born on 10 July 2024, she's a pygmy hippo whose name means "bouncy pork" in Thai. It was chosen through a public poll with over 20,000 votes, two months after her birth.

By September that year, this cheeky little hippo went viral, inspiring memes, merch, and fans worldwide.

According to Asia One, the zoo's director Narungwit Chodchoy mentioned that the zoo's average daily visitors increased from 3,000 to a whopping 12,000, as reported by Bangkok Post last November.
