Here's your excuse to go back to Genting, but this time, for some sky-high photo ops and fresh air

Genting Highlands has long been the go-to for cool breezes and scenic hangouts. But if you want something different from the rollercoasters and shopping crowds, there's a new spot that brings breathtaking views and a little adrenaline.

Hoverland is the newest rooftop attraction that opened in May 2025, and is now officially Malaysia's highest observation deck.

Perched atop Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel, this hidden-in-the-clouds gem sits pretty at 6,106ft above sea level.

Take on The Hangout at Hoverland, a rooftop bridge that puts you above the clouds

Here, you'll strap into a safety harness and step out onto a wired bridge that juts off the rooftop. With only clouds beneath your feet, it's one for the brave (and the Insta feed).

You'll start with a scenic walk, stop for some epic photos, then work your way towards the edge-of-the-world Skywalk.

Whether you sit, stretch or float mid-air for the camera, this setup is designed to be as thrilling as it is photogenic.

If you're not a fan of heights, the Stairway to Heaven is all about the angles, no harness needed

This dreamy stairway is an open white staircase ending in a minimalist doorframe, ideal for surreal sky shots that will make you feel like you're in Howl's Moving Castle.

You don't need any equipment, just your phone and a stunning pose.

Need a breather after all that excitement? Grab a seat at Rawr Rawr Ra, Hoverland's quirky rooftop café with a furry surprise.

Here, you can order a warm latte (from RM14.50) and sit at the panoramic outdoor seating scattered around the rooftop.

The best part? You'll be served from a wall cutout by a fuzzy "mystery creature" with big paws. It's equal parts cute and bizarre.

Above the café, they even have an elegant piano on display called 'Rhythm At The Sky'.
