The airline will operate four weekly flights from KLIA Terminal 2, giving travellers a convenient overnight departure from KL with a morning arrival in Busan, perfect for squeezing the most out of a long weekend or extended holiday.

"We're thrilled to bring back this beloved route and proud to be the only airline in Malaysia operating direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Busan, a city of many wonders. Resuming this route reflects our disciplined approach to growing our network while enabling more travellers to enjoy new experiences and adventures," said AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail.

This marks AirAsia X's 21st international destination and its second stop in South Korea (after Seoul), strengthening the airline's footprint in North Asia

The route is expected to boost both outbound travel from Malaysia and inbound visits from South Korea, especially with Visit Malaysia 2026 around the corner.

To celebrate the flight's return, AirAsia X is offering promotional fares starting from RM299 one-way for Economy and RM999 one-way for Premium Flatbed. The promotion runs until 18 January 2026, valid for travel between 17 June and 30 November 2026.
