Malaysia has nine dishes on TasteAtlas' list of the world's top 100 noodle dishes.
Are you a fan of Mee Bandung?
Rejoice! Your love for the rich, springy, shrimp-infused dish has been recognised as the fifth-best noodle dish in the world.
The ranking was published by international food website TasteAtlas on Sunday, 15 June.
In its entry, the website said the broth of the Muar-origin dish is made with chillies, onions, shrimp paste, and dried shrimp.
"Each mee bandung is topped with a variety of condiments that typically include halved boiled eggs, shrimps, fishcakes, vegetables, and occasionally beef, while the dish is best finished off with a splash of lime juice.
"The term bandung roughly translates as mixed or paired and is not related to a namesake Indonesian city," TasteAtlas wrote.
