Dear kitty lovers, there's a campaign where you can contribute to a better life for Kuching's street cats, just by working out physically

Yup, it's called Sweat4Strays by Pawsitive Vibes Foundation, and it will be running from 1 to 30 September.

This campaign lets you take part in a 30-day physical challenge to raise money for the troubled cat population in Kuching.

The campaign co-founder himself, Greg Larcombe, is taking the challenge to a whole other level by climbing Mount Santubong every day in September

All funds raised will go directly to the cat rescue he runs, Pawsitive Vibes Foundation in Kuching, Borneo, to fund their rescuing, treating, vaccination, and neuter of stray cats in the area.

"As a group, we focus on helping sick and injured cats, and carrying out Trap-Vaccine-Neuter-Release (TVNR) schemes to help humanely reduce the number of stray cats," Greg shared with SAYS.

In a Facebook post, Greg mentioned that £25 (RM142.54) is enough to cover the cost of one cat's spay/neuter and vaccination.

The foundation's website also lists the specific costs of different treatment, such as a full vaccination course (RM105), basic deworming, and defleaing (RM75 onwards).

You can join this wholesome cause without climbing a mountain, as long as you break a sweat

That's right — just commit to any physical activity every day for the whole of next month. Perhaps you could walk 10,000 steps per day or do 100 daily push-ups. We'll leave it up to your imagination!

How to raise funds, you ask? Simply get your friends, family, co-workers, or anyone to sponsor you during your journey.

If they've got some spare cash and a generous heart, this is the perfect time to put it to good use.

You'll just need to pay an RM50 deposit which will cover your registration (and will be deducted from the total sponsorships you raise). If you're feeling fired up to sign up, click here.

The deadline to register is 31 August.

To support the cause without the exercise, you can fill out a sponsorship form and contribute any amount to Greg and his team

Greg will also be documenting his journey daily, so be sure to follow him on TikTok to keep up with his ambitious mission.

All payments must be made by 7 October.
